Les diabètes de Type 1 & 2 touchent une grande quantité de Canadiens et de Canadiennes. On observe une progression constante de ces deux maladies métaboliques. Bien que souvent réduites à une maladie associée aux glucides, les différentes formes de diabètes ont des causes multiples et ne se résument pas uniquement à une simple question de glycémie. L’activité physique joue un rôle central dans la prévention et la gestions des différentes formes de diabètes.

Ce cours vise à informer sur la relation entre l’activité physique et le diabète de type 1 & 2. Ce cours ne remplace pas la supervision médicale ni le support de différents professionnels de la santé dans la prévention, le diagnostique et le traitement de ces conditions, mais vise davantage à fournir des informations actuelles sur la relation entre l’activité physique et la maladie.
